Welcome to the beguiling city of Yangon !
Upon your arrival, proceed to your hotel for leisure. The visit today takes you in the majestic Shwedagon pagoda which is believe to shrine the Buddha relics. You will be impressed by its giant golden spire which dominates Yangon skyline in the evening.
Enjoy your first Burmese dinner with cultural show

Accommodation : Shangrila Sule Hotel 5* or similar / Meal: welcome dinner
After breakfast by the lake of Kandawgyi, you will start exploring the key attractions of Yangon including Sule pagoda, National Museum and Chinese town. 
In the afternoon, we visit Scott Market, the biggest one in the countries selling all the famous Burmese specialities including jelwery, gems, silk,....
Return to your hotel for leisure.

The morning flight this day will bring you to Nyang U airport amidst hundreds of sacred pagodas scattering along the Bagan plains. 
Commence your sightseeing with a visit to Thagyar Pone Temple offering stunning view to the surrounding plains. You will not miss the most notable sites of Bagan including the most revered temple Ananda, Gubyaukgyi temple which boasts beautiful plaster carvings and moral paintings. 
This afternoon, hop on a cruise on Irrawaddy River to approach Kyauk Gu U Min temple. En route, stop at Sae Lan village for a local life interaction then learn about this sacred temple with our guide. 
A special hightea will be arranged in a less-visited temple to allow you spotting the sundowner like no other

Rise up early this day to participate the Balloon adventure which is one of the most highlighted experience in Myanmar. You will be waken with welcome drinks and be ready for a short safari over some 2500 pagodas and temples while following the wind above Irrawaddy River.
After the balloon, back to your hotel for breakfast and ready to embark the cruise. Lunch will be served onboard.
Your visit this day continues with Kayminga pagoda complex to see the different architecture of the stupas first-hand. Next, on to the great golden Shwezigon Pagoda which is said to contain important relics of the Gautama Buddha, two bones and a copy of a tooth. 
Enjoy the sunset over the Bagan plains and admire the light change on the pagodas as they exude antiquity and mystery. Finally the sun sets behind the hills on the far side of the Ayeyarwady River, filling the sky with a reddish glow, a truly magic moment.

Choose between an early morning balloon tour (an additional charge applies, please book in advance) or visit the bustling local market of Nyaung U. The daily market is where the farmers meet to buy and sell a variety of goods, ranging from fruit and vegetables to china and lacquerware.
After, visit Bagan to see the Ananda Temple, regarded by folklore as one of the most beautiful temples in Myanmar.
We will then return to the ship and start sailing upstream towards Sagaing during which a variety of on board activities will be offered including a longyi (sarong) and thanaka (cosmetic) demonstration, and a talk on Myanmar.
A delicious dinner in the Talifoo Restaurant will then follow.

Enjoy a back of house tour and cooking class with our Executive Chef as we cruise the Irrawaddy.
In the afternoon visit the pagoda sprinkled Sagaing Hill, an important religious and monastic centre, home to some 554 monasteries and 6,000 monks and nuns. Here we will visit a Monastic school and orphanage where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the residents and understand the teachings of Buddhism. Afterwards, take in the views from the top of the hill on the terraces of the Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda which are truly breathtaking.
Amarapura, was once known as 'The City of Immortals'. Today, the leisurely 'clack-clack' from the looms of the cotton and silk weavers has replaced the noisy bustle of this former capital.
Visit the U Bein Bridge, a spectacular place to enjoy the sunset. This long teak bridge snakes across the Taungthaman Lake. After sunset, return to the Sanctuary Ananda.

Early this morning Sanctuary Ananda will sail north to the quaint village of Sin Kyun, a village just north of Mandalay sponsored by Sanctuary Retreats Philanthropy. This is the perfect setting to mingle with the local Burmese people and discover what modern life is like in an ever-changing Myanmar.
Your tour of Mandalay  will include a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, one of Myanmar's most religious monuments housing the revered Mahamuni Image.  Lastly a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda (Maha Lawka Marazein) built by King Mindon in 1857, in effect a copy of the Shwezigon Pagoda in Bagan. Enjoy Mandalay's night market with our tour guide.

Taking the flight to Heho airport this day and embark a very scenic road to Inle Lake. En route, see the lively market of Heho where hundred of local villagers gather for a busy day.
Upon your arrival in Inle Lake, board a motorized boat and start venturing into the lake's treasure. 
The very first stop is Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda is a sacred pilgrimage site in the area which hosts a sacred golden Buddha image. The next attraction is Inpawkhone village, an introduction of many traditional workshops in Inle Lake including weaving, cheroot cigar making and wooden boat producing. 
Conclude your day by a beautiful sundowner time by your lakeside resort.

Wake up with the sound of nature by the lake of Inle. Approaching the Nyang Shwe town to start your cooking class. The chef will take you to a local market, guiding you how to purchase the food prepared for a special gourmet lunch. Practice your cooking skill and enjoy the aperitif on the rooftop of Viewpoint before being served by the lunch you cooked !
In the afternoon, a very leisure trip to see how Inthar fisherman controls and ride a boat by one leg will be the unique experience you will get on this trip. Return to your resort for sunset.

Join the local villagers at Indein market which rotates every five days around the lakes. There are chances to photograph the Pa-o, Padaung and Inthar people in their traditional customs. 
Leave Inle for Shwe Yan Pyay, the oldest monastery in the area boasting fine woodcarving arts. Heading to Heho airport for the flight back to Yangon
