Your journey to Mrauk U starts with a flight to Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine state. Upon arrival, you will settle your luggage in the hotel then explore the key sites of the city including Maha Kuthala Buddha Museum. This fascinating museum is home to a large collection of arts, bronze, notes and antique old coins from the Mrauk U and other ancient periods.
The next stop is Thet Kya Muni Temple, famous for a huge sitting Buddha Image, one of the highlights of seaport town. From there, we continue exploring the fishing port and villages which offers beautiful photogenic chances as welll a deeper look into the life by the bay of Bengal.

After breakfast, we leave the hotel for 5 hours boat trip upstream Kaladan River. Lunch will be served on board.
The destination of today Mrauk U was once the capital of Arakan Kingdom which played important role on the Silk Road linking China to the Indian markets. In the past, it used to be the main port to transfer rice, ivory, elephants, tree sap and deer hide from Innwa and of cotton, horses, cowrie, spices and textiles from Bengal, India, Persia and Arabia to China and other parts of the country.
Upon arrival in Mrauk U, you will be welcomed for a short introductory tour to the most highlighted attractions that represent the beautiful past of the city. Sites that you will see cover Shithaung Temple, the temple of 80000 Buddha images, Htokekanthein Temple, built by King Minphalaung in 1571 A.D, Andawthein Temple, Yadanapone Pagoda, Laymyatnar Temple, and Harri Taung hill to enjoy the sunset over the plain.

Spend the morning to capture the striking attractions in Mrauk U starting from the graceful Koe Thaung Temple or known as temple of 90,000 Buddha images, one of the biggest temples in the Mrauk U.
Our guide will take you into Archeological Museum & Palace site and The Five Man Aung Pagodas, such as Sakya Man Aung Pagoda and Zina Man Aung Pagoda, built by a serie of Rakhine kings as astro-magical contrivances in Mrauk U period. There is also a time to learn about local traditional work of weaving and fan production in near Paysi pagoda before you enjoy the magical sunset from the hill top of Harri Taung.

Today, after breakfast in your hotel, we are going to take a day-return boat trip along the Laymyo River to visit the village of Chin Tribe where elderly chin women with traditional tattooed faces. Leisurely boat ride (with service of seasonal fruits, drinking water, coffee, tea, on board) along the bank of Laymyo River around 8:00 am and to climb up to the Face-tattooed Chin villages (there is a series of villages namely; Cho Mrin, Pann Bound, Kone Chaung ) around 12:00 noon, and study on the art and culture of Face-tattooing over the faces of Chin women. On the way, Lunch over the stone mat, a lovely place on the river bank on the way to and fro Chin villages, and passing through the small creeks and beautiful betel-nut plantation farms and villages. This trip takes us the whole day starting from Mrauk U at 8 Am and arriving back at 5-6 Pm (approxi 3 Hour-boat ride each way) which is a worthy visit of cultural exploration.
After the breakfast, enjoy your leisure walk in Mrauk U before embarking on the boat back to Sittwe around 11.00am. The remainder of the day after reaching Sittwe is for seeing the area beyond the ordinary tourist track.
Experience the unique monk`s life at Shwe Zedi Kyaung, a hundred year old pagoda- monastery. A short boat ride will take you to War Bo village, home to the locally famed work of hand weaving. Free to enjoy Sittwe in the evening.
