Getting visa before you arrive

For this option, you need to visit a Myanmar Embassy. It is either in your country or in other country that you travel to and have time ( at least 1 working day ) to obtain the visa.
Depending on the embassy working load or the visa type ( ordinary or express ), you can have visa letter stamped on your passport from 1 day to 2 weeks. Some embassies even accept the transfering service which means you can send the money and passport with visa form then you will have the visa back to your home.

Visa Pre-arranged on Arrival

For this option, you need to apply online to have visa approval document first. There are many advantages of this method :
- You can apply it from everywhere in the world provided you have internet.
- You can have visa as fast as 1 day guaranteed option.
- You can get visa even during the working time which does not happen if you apply through an Embassy.
The fee starts at $50 for ordinary procedure which takes about 3 days to 1 week to complete. 

When you arrive at Mandalay International Airport, you need to follow the line at VISA ON ARRIVAL counter. At this desk, the customs will check your passport and the visa on arrival letter then stamp the visa on the passport. 
There is no extra fee upon arrival. 

Visa on arrival

We recommend you to take this option only when you have no time to do visa or when you travel on a Myanmar tour package as it relates much to a local tour company. 
Here are the all the documents you need for visa on arrival :
- Travel itinerary issued by your local tour operator
- Confirmation from a local, authorized tour operator / travel agency 
- Your passport which valid at least 6 months from the time you arrive.
