Water Festival
Many countries in Southeast Asia appreciate this festival including Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. While Song Kran ( Thailand ) is very exhilarating, the Thingyan festival ( Myanmar) is also full of fun.Depending on each country, the date varies slightly in early summer to signify the beginning of rainy season.

Yee Peng Festival, Thailand
Every November when the full moon arrives, Thailand people in Chiang Mai prepare their lanterns to light up the sky. Hundreds, not to say thousands of lantern will be released to " make remit" to make a wish, the act also means to throw away the bad luck.The whole celebration comes with Thai dance shows, live music and handicraft sections.
The best place to admire the festival is near Mae Jo university. If you think about a photography trip, go early at least from 18.00pm

Ati-Atihan Festival
If we to pick a festival that calls much the crowd's attention in the Philippines then Ati Atihan is such an event. It kicks off every year in the city of Kalibo in the Aklan province, known as the mother of all Philipines's festivals. With some 800 years old history, it is to honor Santo Nino ( A statue of The Child Jesus).

Boun Bang Fai Rocket Festival, Laos
It sounds weird for many people to hear about Rocket festival but it is one of the long tradition from Laos to call for the rain. It was made for delicacy of Rain`s God.What you can capture here are the self-made rocket inside the bamboo pipes, not real rockets !
Many teams from different villages gather with their own rocket and starts competing in the outskirt of Viantiane.
