India Myanmar Borders
India and Myanmar share a long border both by water and land. While in the south, two countries are linked by Andaman Sea, the north border lines stretches along the rugged mountains of Sagain Division and Naga land. Along 1643km, there are 2 international border gates that oversea travelers can do border crossing.
Moreh - Tamu Border Gate
Moreh town is located in Manipur State of India.Tamu is a part of Sagaing Division, Myanmar.
This border does not only function the main trade points between India and Myanmar but also a connection for the trade from India to Thailand via Chiang Mai as well.
Since 2018, travelers are able to do Visa on arrival at this border checkpoint. You can apply visa through government website then travel with your visa approval document till the border.
For visitors who travel on the other way from Myanmar to India, a valid India visa is essential.

Zokhawtar - Rikhawdar border
The Zokhawthar and Rikhawdar was opened to boast the trade betweet Mizoram state, China and Chin state Myanmar. These are the two less developed areas, especially Chin state.For travelers, traversing this mountain road is a rewarding experience. The landscapes varies spectacularly from green valley to picturesque hamlet. If you have chance, make a stop at the heart-shaped Rih Lake.
