Tucked away in the lush Shan State, Pindaya is famous for its sacred Buddha cave. This mountainous area is also an ideal choice for some breathtaking treks off beaten track in Myanmar.

Things to do in Pindaya
Though ¨Pindaya is not the main touristic site but it isn't short of attractions that can make your days occupied. From shining pagodas to fascinating villages, Pindaya lures visitors for its laid back charm and unique local culture.Pindaya Cave
This is the most outstanding site in the area. It is home to some 6000 Buddha statues in various sizes. These statues are made from different material: wood, marble, bronze and coated by the gold leaves when people come to pray.The entrance fee is $3. To reach Shwe U Min pagoda or Pindaya Cave, you can walk from the town center about 45 minutes.
Umbrella Workshop
If you are looking for a place to observe rael traditional workshop where local artisans make umbrellas, it must be Pindaya. In this small town, you can easily drop in a workshop to see how they can cut wook in a few minutes to function the umbrella frame.Go trekking
