Yangon Downtown

Spending time to shoot in Yangon downtown is an interesting experience. From little India market to busy China town filled with smoky BBQ restaurants to exotic street scenes, this area attracts your camera lens with lots of senses.

Yangon Riverside

If you expect a photography trip that tells a local story, the Yangon river has something for you. There are thousands of commuters crossing the river by ferry everyday and these ferries are stuffed with various goods – a fantastic mix of color and daily life. The sunset by Wa dan Jetty is also one of the must-dos when you are in Yangon.

Yangon Circle Train

It is not a popular attraction but a very good way to encounter the life in the suburb of Yangon. The train crosses by a collection of side track markets when on board you will meet friendly, typical vendors who carry their goods on a basket top on their head.

Kalaywa Monstery

Kalaywa is home to thousands of monks who dwell and learn Buddhism. It is a perfect spot to observe the nune and novice`s daily activites. Photographers can also follow the monks who depart early in the morning to do their morning alm collecting.

Shwedagon Pagoda

No Myanmar Photography Tour is complete without shooting in Shwedagon Pagoda. This giant stupa dominates the skyline of Yangon from almost every corner. Shwedagon is believed to shrine Buddha relics and hence it is most sacred site in the area.
Situated on a small hill overlooking the rest of Yangon, the pagoda is prominent with its traditional Myanmar architect, painted in gold, decorated with diamond and precious stones. Importantly, Shwedagon carries different stories that your photos can convey
