Mountain Bike
Bike rides in Kalaw seems endless. Morning Market Visit
Kalaw markets starts very early in the morning. It is a nice chance to see the locals going about their lives.Things displayed in Kalaw market include farm products to tea, dry fishes from Inle Lake as well local speciality.
Local Buddhism Sites
The very first Buddhist site you should see is Hnee Paya.This pagoda is famous for its bamboo Buddha image which is said to be made some 500 years ago.Shwe Oo Min Paya is another interesting stop where you can behold a pogada built inside a limestone mountain.

Green Hill Valley

The most recommended walk for short distance is called World Peace Pagoda route. It takes about 4 hours, passing through many local villages until you reach the Thein Daung monastery, a very good viewing point.Ywar Thit Village Walk is another interesting option. This trek lasts for 16km offering intimate touches to different villages, certainly different views.

Trekking to Inle Lake
This is probably the most popular trek in Myanmar. It is recommended by all the guide books and there is no difficulty to find a local tour operator who organize the adventures from 2 to 5 days. Basically, what makes the difference between 2 days and 3 days itinerary is the starting point and the usage of the transportation.All the treks finishes in Indein where travelers can travel onward either to Nyang Shwe town or a lakeside resort.
