Luxury Holiday to Myanmar

Luxury Holiday to Myanmar

Myanmar is a tempting destination for a luxury holiday in Southeast Asia. The country has diverse landscapes with beautiful nature, ancient Buddhist sites, enchanting lakes, and fascinating places filled with history. You'll meet friendly locals and see a wide range of landscapes, from snowy mountains and lakes to open fields, the winding Ayeyarwady River, and bustling cities.

The best time to take a holiday in Myanmar

The ideal period for traveling to Myanmar falls between November and February, offering more moderate temperatures and improved access to remote areas.

Myanmar's weather has three main seasons: cool, hot, and rainy.
In the highlands, especially during the evenings and the cool season, temperatures are lower.
Cool Season (November to February): In general, temperatures range from 70°F to 85°F (21°C to 29°C) with high humidity. This season has the least rainfall.
Hot Season (March to May): Temperatures rise significantly, sometimes going over 100°F (37°C). It's dry and hot during these months.
Rainy Season (June to September): This period is known as the monsoon season. Expect heavy rain and temperatures between 80°F to 90°F. There might be occasional dry spells during these months.

However, there are some regions in Myanmar where high mountains are located known as the foot of the Himalayan Range, the weather is similar in Europe with cool summer and cold, snowy winter. Putao, one of the most striking trekking areas is such an example.
Apart from that, Pyin Oo Lwin and some other places in Shan states also have very cool summers as their elevations are high.

Mandalay

Drawing inspiration from Kipling's poem, the mere mention of 'Mandalay' evokes enchanting notions of a tranquil and timeless destination, steeped in quintessential Asian charm. It vividly captures the nostalgia surrounding Asia's exotic allure, transporting us to a bygone era in Burma (Myanmar).
Mandalay houses 4 ancient capitals and numerous important religious sites. If you are after wildlife, this is the only place in the country you can spot the Irrawaddy Dolphin.

shwedagon yangon

Yangon

Formerly referred to as Rangoon during the colonial era, this city retained its name until 1989 when the governing military regime reinstated its original name, Yangon, which signifies 'end of strife.' Even after the government's shift of the capital to Nay Pyi Daw in 2006, Yangon continues to uphold its status as Burma's (Myanmar's) largest and most pivotal hub for commerce, intellectual pursuits, and excitement.

Inle Lake is one of the most exciting places to visit in Burma (Myanmar), and all the excitement is completely deserved. It's a beautiful place with wide-open views, misty mornings, and calm waters surrounded by lush wetlands and vibrant floating gardens. There are villages on stilts and Buddhist temples that seem to rise out of the water, and you can see fishermen out on the lake. Inle Lake is really big – about 13.5 miles long and 7 miles wide – and it's the second largest lake in Burma (Myanmar). There's so much life and activity here, including a hundred monasteries, a thousand pagodas, and over 200 small villages and communities.
