The country of friendly, smiling people

For any visit to Myanmar, capturing the local is one of the highlights. While touring the streets, smiling faces are just around your lens.
Wearing the Thanaka paste and longyi are some of the longest traditions that are still deeply rooted in everyday’s life which features one of the most stunning Burmese portraits ever.
There is no surprise if you find the variation of lifestyle which reflects through regional image and local uniqueness. While Irrawaddy River Delta offers fascinating urban villages where farmers welcome you with their warm hearts, the remote mountain unveils the story of tattooed faced minorities, especially in Chin and Rakhin states.

The iconic sites

Yangon provides opportunities to photograph the famous Shwedagon pagoda and faded Victorian splendors as well lively streets.
Mandalay boasts amazing mixture of culture, magnificent ancient capitals scattering along the bank of Irrawaddy River. Sunset by Ubein, the longest teakwood bridge in the world amaze you at different angles.
Bagan is simply a haunting place to expect mesmerizing photos. This is home to some 2,500 pagodas that are built from 11th century.  Expect the signature photos from a remote temple or float high with Balloon over Bagan.
Inle Lake promises floating gardens, birdlife, stilt villages, unlike rotating markets and unique scene of one-leg rower fisherman

Off The Tourist Track

Rural life of Myanmar treasures some exceptional shooting chances from graceful farmers planting rice in Mawlamgyine to the poitrait of hill tribes in Keng Tung who are famous for their black teeth.
One of the most stunning attractions that photographers should include in their itinerary is Mrauk U. The area is less visited and exposes the mystery charm through its temples and royal palaces.
