Kaudulla National Park Safari

Bumping into a herd of gigantic elephants is quite common in this safari. Surf at Hikkaduwa Beach
South coast of Sri Lanka is surfers’ paradise and Hikkaduwa beach is where one should head to tame the sea waves. This idyllic, largely un-spoilt and palm bordered beach is flocked by expert as well as amateur surfers. Waves here can range between 3 ft to 10 ft. Lot of beginners can be seen struggling to ride the waves.

Ride the Kandy to Ella Train
The four hours journey between Kandy and Ella is one of the fascinating and scenic train trip in Asia. The picturesque surroundings with lush green hills, dense forest cover, vibrant green tea fields, bridges and tunnels, make this train journey a memorable one. Hike up to Sigiriya

This ancient rock fortress and ruins situated in the central Matale district is surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. Visit Tea Estate at Nuwara Eliya
Tea plantations are one of the highlights of Sri Lanka and while taking a train journey one can witness the same. Surrounded by endless acres of verdant tea estates that majestically carpet the slopes of the nearby hills, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing stroll along the tea estates of Nuwara Eliya. Watching the locals pick those delicate tea leaves is exciting.
Enjoy Diyaluma Falls
Just 1 hour away from Ella is this 200 m high waterfall that has different levels and natural pools on the top to experience. Hiking downhill through long grass covered trails help to witness the milky white stream of water plunging from the edge of the cliff. Swimming at the natural pool created at various level is truly fascinating. The surrounding area offers enough shade areas and friendly young locals to chat with.
Scuba diving at Trincomalee
There are various diving spots in this island country. Trincomalee on the east coast and its Nilavelli beach is the launch pad for most dives in the area. A few kilometres off the coast is Pigeon Island Marine Life Sanctuary, diving enthusiast can experience the coral reefs full of colourful fish, anemone, nudibranch and more. The ship wreck Irakkandy, an 18th century steamer close to the coast, is also popular among divers here.
Leopard spotting at Yala National Park
This huge forest cover with massive grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka is home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, along with hundreds of species of birds. This is country’s numero uno leopard sanctuary and the chances of spotting these big cats are maximum.
