How to go there
The best practice is to rent a private transfer from Yangon which allows you to stop on the way to photogaph the serene landscapes of south Myanmar
Buses leaves Yagon at 6am and 9pm. Buses usually stop at 2 to 3 points along the way at road side cafes. The journey costs approximately 8000 kyats. 

Weather Condition
It has a tropical climate. The wet period is from May to late October. From Nov-Feb the weather is relatively cool and dry. The hottest and driest months are March and April so the best time to visit is from October to May, during cool and hot season. In June beaches are mostly closed due to monsoon.

What to wear?
If you want to visit the beach, cotton and linen cloth would be ideal for most of the year but as nights are pretty cold so don’t forget to pack a warm jacket or sweater. 

Things to take:
Chaung the beach is comparatively cheaper place. There is no ATM facility in beach so you should have enough money in your pocket to enjoy at the beach. If you visit the beach in rainy season then do bring a light rain coat and umbrella.


Where to stay?
It has different range of accommodation options from simple hotels to high-end luxurious beach resorts. Some guest houses offer free Wi-Fi .The restaurant located inside of the Shwe Hin Tha Hotel, offers Wi-Fi to both hotel and restaurant guests. Best Budget Hotels in Chaung Tha Beach is Alliance Resort Hotel. 

Top Eats
Towards south end of the beach there are plenty of simple beer stations, tea houses and souvenir shops. It is famous for its fresh sea food. Italian food is delicious! You can eat pizza and different kind of pasta, and lasagna, real bread and olive oil. Some places to eat and drink in Chaung tha Beach is Pasta Fresca Restaurant, Fresh Seafood and Beach Vendors that offers different snacks and grilled food on the beach.



Activities on the beach
In evening football matches are mostly common. People enjoy different activities on the beach that includes Snorkeling, Fishing trips for groups and individuals are also available. Beach along the shore is calm and deserted with lot of palm trees. There are plenty of places to lie down, enjoy the sun or play with water. Jet-skis, banana boats and rubber dingles are provided for water fun. You can enjoy cheap bicycle ride along the shore feeling the breeze and Dip yourself in the sand and relax them by feeling nature. Different beach activities that include horse riding, bicycle, and quad bike hire and inflatable rings. You can easily buy bikes on rent to enjoy across the beach and on the beach numerous shops are available from where you can easily buy beach clothing. For more adventure, there are two beautiful islands; one is to the south of main beach namely Foot and the other one is to the north side which is Hilltop pagoda. There is very attractive white sand beach, cleaner and less busy, can be found four kilometers to the north of Chaung Tha.
