Nyang U market starts at 6.00am and finishes around 5.00pm, displaying the livelist trade on open air and rustic stalls in the new town of Bagan archeaological zone. The very first things you will see here are the local grown producs like betels, vegetables, Irrawaddy fresh catches, famous Pakkoku hats and mattress, meat and grains.

Visitors also can buy souvenirs at this markets as many items are traveller- oriented and many are typically Bagan such as lacquer ware, Bagan cigar, wood scuptures.
There are chances to get fun with local. We suggest you try to put on some thanaka comestic paste and get local make up style or try some street foods which are delicious.
Bagan is a perfect place not only to shoot the temples but also to delve into the real local culture. Check out Bagan Day Tours for further reference.
