Yangon is a time capsule of British colonial treasures, probably  the most you will find in Southeast Asia. In most of the townships in the city, you will have chance to behold the crumbling, faded buildings.
Some special and worth visiting are : High Court Building, The Secretariat Office, Myanmar Railway Headquarter. Do not miss the high tea in Strand Hotel, one of the typical architect remains from 1990s located right the river of Yangon.

Bogyoke Market

Built in 1920, Bogyoke Market offers some best ideas of what to buy in Myanmar to bring home from fabrics to handicraft, from painting to jewelry and precious items.
The food stalls inside the markets is expected to deliver some sort of delicious Burmese noodle also.

kandawgyi lakeKandawgyi Lake

The second largest lake of Yangon was built by the British as a reservoir is best known by local as the Royal Lake.
While the west side floats a Shin Upagot shrine, said to protect human beings in moments of mortal danger, the east side is occupied by a small park, a kids' playground and the fanciful or monstrous Karaweik Palace , a reinforced concrete reproduction of a royal barge.
This is one of the best place to spot sunset as well taking night photo when the light from Shwedagon reflects on the water mirror.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s house

Another site that is now listed in many travel itineraries for Yangon, Aung San Suu Kyi's house is simply a living place of a heroic woman who won the Peace Nobel Prize.
Because of her allure, it is very tempting for visitors to have a glimpse of her house, and hopefully her presence.
