Minneriya National Park, Sri Lanka
Covering a total area of 8890 hectares, Minneriya National Park is most famous for its largest recurring gathering of Asian elephants. It’s about four hours from Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital. During the months of September and October, over 300 of them convene here to drink, graze, play, find mates and along with bathing.Inside the park, there are the 24 mammals inhabited in the available wetlands, evergreen forests, scrub plains as well as rocky outcrops. These mammals include sloth bears, macaques, spotted deer, sambar, wild buffalo, wild boar, porcupines and leopards. Over 170 bird species are registered in the Park including large flocks of cormorants turn it a paradise for bird watching.

Bohol, The Philippines
Bohol is a beautiful area you are most likely to come across tarsiers, one of the tiniest and cutest animals in the World. These mammals are defined uniquely by their palm-sized bodies and huge eyes. One of the prime locations to find these creatures is Bohol Island. Other eye-catching spots here are the tasty-looking chocolate hills. With the help of local rangers, Tarsiers are easily seen in their favourite tree positions. Like clinging to the branches with their strange fingers.
Lampi Marine Park, Burma
Lampi is the biggest island in Mergui Archipelago, south Burma. It is probably one of the least visited national parks in Southeast Asia. Stretching over 48km, this magical island houses over 1,000 species both on land and underwater. While the tropical forest is remarkable with large trees which about 26m height, the mongroves has great number of crabs, mollusc and crustacean.Lampi is perfect for both bird watching and diving adventures.

Cardamom Mountains, Cambodia
Thanks to Wildlife Alliance, Rainforest Trust and local organizations have worked hard to preserve this bio-diverse region from logging, mining and industrial developments. From a war zone, it’s now a National Park with thick rainforests providing good habitat to a diverse range of Wildlife species. Taman Negara National Park, Malaysia
With the greater conservation attempts made by Malaysia, Taman Negara National Park is now one of the supreme localities to absorb the country’s Wildlife. Though local residents like Asian elephants, Rhinoceros and tiger are rarely seen, chances are high you will notice different primate species. From Lizards, snakes, deer, Asian tapir, spectacled langur to the dusky leaf monkeys.On top of that, different bird species abound totaling to over 50 bird species including the great hornbill.
Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre, Malaysia
Wildlife lovers exploring Malaysia with interest of beholding the species of Orangutans, Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre is the only spot to go for close encounters . It’s one of the only three World’s orangutan sanctuaries.Orangutans here are wild but usually fed by rangers and habituated enough to human presence. This Centre offers grand chances of seeing both adults and infants in their daily life like eating, resting, grooming along with dangling and swinging from tree branches.

Donsol, The Philippines

Ba Be National Park, Vietnam
Established in 1992, Ba Be National Park was Vietnam’s eighth Park to be opened. Babe is one of recommended destinations in north Vietnam to spot wildlife as well enjoy some breathtaking treks.Its 100 square kilometers of land are occupied by limestone karsts, towering mountains, lush green forests and glistering lakes. This ecosystem provides a home to a range of Wildlife species including the unique ones like the Vietnamese Salamander, Tonkin snub-nosed langur monkeys and the Pangolins.
The most frequently spotted critters are tigers, black bears, gibbons, crocodiles, leopards, slow loris to name but a few. Other breathing species on the list in this rainforest region include 220 bird species, 550 plant species, 350 butterflies and more than 100 species of fish.
Yala National Park, Sri Lanka
One of Sri Lanka’s largest and most popular National Park, Yala exhibits the highest density of leopards in Asia. Travelers are also impressed by its remarkable displays of sloth bears during the months of June and July when Palu trees are fruity.Other regularly witnessed animals embody spotted deer, buffalo, wild pig, stripe-necked and ruddy mongooses, Langur monkey, toque monkey, Golden Jackal, Indian palm civets, and more. For Bird watchers, Yala’s wetlands, lagoons and untouched coastlines are a paradise with over 400 varied species. Best wildlife views are evidenced during the dry season from February to June.
